Service

The goal of the Outreach Committee is to encourage new transfer students to become involved in campus life at Baylor. We are constantly brainstorming new ways to get more involved with the Baylor community and welcome both new and old transfers into our organization. The Outreach Committee organizes BTC's involvement in events such as writing letters to all incoming transfers to Baylor, Transfer Fridays, Late Night, Premiere Weekend, Welcome Week and the Fall and Spring Transfer Mixers. Members of the Outreach Committee also do the major part of the planning for the fall Transfer Retreat and Spring Transfer Lock-In. We are passionate about getting the word out to transfers and helping them in any way that we possibly can with their transition.

Activities

The Activity Committee is involved in the planning of social events, both for the BTC membership and for transfers, in general. BTC hosts events such as an annual Take-A-Date, movie nights, s'more nights, Halloween Parties, rollerskating events, bowling nights, game nights, and dinners. The Activity Committee also organizes BTC's intramural teams, and the committee members help to mold the overall spirit and attitude of the membership.

Membership

The Membership Committee plans and manages all events and activities directly related to membership including the Induction Ceremony, End-of-Semester Banquet, membership materials, the roster, departing gifts for seniors, etc. The Membership Committee is in charge of the Transitions Newsletter, the ACTS Workshops, and is committed to finding academic resources for transfers. Members of the Membership Committee will also maintain a hospitality service to fellow BTC members who require personal care in times of physical or emotional need, as well as thank you gifts for outside speakers or other people who demonstrate support to Baylor Transfers. Care for BTC members and those who serve them is the primary focus of the Membership Committee.
